Family Outing


That is indeed the question.  By “Con”, I’m talking about convention, as in Comic-Con.  We recently attended the 2017 Magic City Con, which was our first but probably not the last.  Comic-Cons are not new by any means.  The ultimate Comic-Con is the original in San Diego which began in 1970.  The first San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC ) featured 5 special guests & drew about 300 attendees.  This year’s SDCC will feature hundreds of special guests & close to 200,000 attendees.  The popularity of comic-cons has grown immensely over the past 10-12 years as so many comic book characters have […]

To Con or Not To Con


Parents & children all bundled in warm clothing, sipping hot chocolate as they stroll together on a cold late December evening.  Snow is gently falling as they pass by local businesses brightly decorated to celebrate Christmas.  Sidewalks fill with happy families greeting one another with wishes of “Merry Christmas” & singing Christmas carols.  In the middle of the holiday festivities sits the town’s gigantic Christmas tree, trimmed with bright lights & beautiful decorations.  Excitement fills the air as the children are lining up for their opportunity to sit on Santa’s knee & tell him of their many Christmas wishes.
